Safe Halloween Dog Treats

Halloween Advice

I love dressing up and so does my golden retriever Halogen! Of the four dogs she is the only one that loves and I do mean LOVES to wear clothes. You grab some clothes and she gets so excited she begs to put them on. But that is besides the point. This is about a safe and fun Halloween for your puppy dogs. So let’s get to it.

Fun and Safe Halloween Treats

Since we all know that the puppies cannot have candy no matter how much they beg, we have to do something else for our puppies. While you can go online and buy some special Halloween treats, I suggest making your own. I know I know, you are thinking I am crazy. But it really isn’t that hard.

Super Easy Canine Dog Treat Ingredients:

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup nonfat dry milk powder
  • 1/2 cup oats, rolled  — quick cooking
  • 1/2 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 2 teaspoons sugar

Dog Treat Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Mix ingredients together to form a ball of dough
  3. Roll out onto a floured board
  4. Use cookie cutters to cut desired shapes
  5. Put on an ungreased baking sheet
  6. Cook for 30 minutes
  7. Flip and cook for another 15 minutes or until brown
  8. Let cool for several hours

Enjoy Your Safe Halloween Canine Treats!

The Halloween treats are safe for your dogs all year round. Vary the shapes and you can have them for different holidays throughout the year. Enjoy the holidays and I hope you have as much fun as I do.

Please remember to stay safe.
